Broadcast TV

The Broadcast TV Bands refer to the specific Very High Frequency (VHF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) spectrum segments traditionally allocated for over-the-air television broadcasting. Historically used for analog TV (NTSC), these bands now primarily carry digital terrestrial television (DTV) signals, allowing viewers to receive local and national channels without a cable or satellite subscription. While the exact channel numbers and frequencies have shifted globally due to the digital transition and spectrum reallocation (like the "repack" in the US), these bands remain crucial for free, publicly accessible television programming. Channels are 6Mhz wide.
