Restrictions
In the 219-220 MHz segment, all operators are limited to a maximum of 50 W PEP.

§97.303(l)
Use of the 219-220 MHz segment is restricted to amateur stations participating as forwarding stations in fixed point-to-point digital message forwarding systems, including intercity packet backbone networks.
§97.303(l)(1)
Amateur stations transmitting in the 219-220 MHz segment must not cause harmful interference to, and must accept interference from, the FCC in the Automated Marintine Telecommunications System (AMTS), the 218-219 MHz Service, and the 220 MHz Service, and television stations broadcasting on channels 11 and 13, other nations in the fixed and maritine mobile services.
§97.303(l)(2)
Amateur stations transmitting on the 222-225 MHz segment may not emit a non-phone emission that exceeds the bandwidth of a communications quality phone emission of the same modulation type. The total bandwidth of an independent sideband emission (having B as the first symbol), or a multiplexed image and phone emission, shall not exceed that of a communications quality A3E emission.
§97.307(f)(2) and §97.305(c)
Amateur stations transmitting RTTY, data, or multiplexed emissions on the 222-225 MHz segment; The symbol rate must not exceed 56 kBd. A RTTY, data or multiplexed emission using an unspecified digital code under the limitations listed in §97.309(b) of this part also may be transmitted, the authorized bandwidth is 100 kHz.
§97.307(f)(6) and §97.305(c)
Amateur stations on the 222-225 MHz segment may transmit a RTTY or data emission having designators with A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J or R as the first symbol; 1, 2, 7, 9 or X as the second symbol; and D or W as the third symbol is also authorized.
§97.307(f)(8) and §97.305(c)
Amateur stations on the 219-220 MHz segment may transmit a data emission using an unspecified digital code under the limitations listed in §97.309(b) also may be transmitted. The authorized bandwidth is 100 kHz.

Spread spectrum emissions are authorized on the 222-225 MHz segment with a maximum of 10 W PEP.
